Microsoft Office Update 14.2.0 Outlook Mac - Problems with Databases and breaks Kerio Compatibility

For our clients with Kerio Mail Server - NEWSFLASH
Important Technical Advisory - Microsoft Update of Office 2011 for Mac Triggers Syncing Errors with Kerio Connect

Hello,

On April 12, Microsoft updated Office for Mac 2011 to version 14.2.0 (also labeled as Service Pack 2). This update affects Outlook 2011 on the Mac and it is not yet supported by Kerio Connect. We strongly recommend that Kerio Connect customers do not install this update yet.

If you already have installed the update, you'll need to remove Microsoft Office directory from the Applications folder and re-install Microsoft Office for Mac from original installation media.

Currently, our development team is working on a solution that we are testing. As soon as it is stable, we'll release Kerio Connect 7.3.3 to solve the issue.

If you have further questions, please contact Kerio Tech Support. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Best,
Kerio Technologies

We have also observed problems generally with the Office 2011 update, namely with Outlook.
Upon upgrading the database, some users have had corruptions with a range of symptoms.

Microsoft have not pulled their 14.2.0 software update from the automatic checker until this is resolved. It is still available for manual download.

They have released the following statement:
